Somerset County Scouts offers a progressive programme of interesting, exciting and challenging activities to young people in the 6 - 25 year old age range in the county of Somerset, England.

It is part of the UK Scout Association, and in turn part of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.

The administration of Scouting in the UK is divided into Counties of which Somerset is one.

The county, situated in the south west of England, is divided into seven adminstrative Districts, each containing a number of Scout Groups.

Each individual Scout Group is be responsible for one or more Sections. Some of the older Sections may be provided by the District where there is insufficient numbers for each Group to run the Section.
